Hi folks, I've got a build in primer ready for flatting that I want to paint shiny black. I'll be using duplicolour auto acrylic and was wondering what grit of wet n dry would be best to use. I usually use a very light 1000 grit followed by a 1500, but since it's going black should I use an even finer grit? Also I will be foiling some of the finer details before painting so what is the best way to remove the paint from the foil and when is best? eg. when dry or wet?

The higher you can get for sanding grits on black, the better. Always use each one in succession as well. Fine to Finer to Finest Remove any taped off / foiled areas shortly after spraying. You do not want the paint to dry and then try to remove it Also - have 3 scotch and waters before attempting ANY of the above

As you know I use duplicolor all the time. For black I would block it back with 2000 wet, paint some black, block it again, more black, then clear coat. (duplicolor ) then block the clear, then re-clear.
after all these steps, you will need bugger all polishing.
