64 Vette Gasser on the bench.(done 10/2016)

This one started out UGLY. It was a crusty body and a ruined interior and chassis when I bought it. I used a donor 63 Vette interior and chassis. I had quite a time restoring this glue bomb body and it also had a TON of industrial grade paint that took over a month to strip. This car is going to be done in a week or so. I am doing a major detailed build on the motor now. Just have to add lights, bumpers, glass, front shocks and a few small items and its done.

This is after several weeks in three different kinds of stripper.


Fast forward to current. This has gone through extensive modifications. This chassi was under a red 63 Vette I was going to build. Tat setup was too high in the front and too low in the back. I raised the rear suspension and retooled a new axle and spring setup for the front. I found suitable tires and wheels and used an engine from a Revell 1/24th scale Reher and Morrison Camaro pro Stock. Got the engine and trans to fit with the hedders on. Had to modify the elephant ears, transmission, and hedders but it all fits now. Tomorrow I will be finishing the motor up with a bunch of scratch built stuff and getting it mounted in the car.
