Well the sun popped it's head out for a few minutes so I got some pictures done. This is/was an aoshima nissan skyline with lots of mods under the skin. Most of the chassis is from a ut models opel calibra dtm racer with a revell beretta pro street front chassis grafted on after the calibra was too wide. The rear of the chassis has been narrowed 12mm and the drivers side floor has been cut out and replaced with flat sheet to get rid of all the racecar electronics. The engine is the calibra 2.5 litre v6 with all the 4 wheel drive and 2 hobby design turbos, oil cooler and intercooler, with all scratch built pipework and exhaust (engine bay only, the rear is from the calibra but hidden by the chassis) All the wiring is there including the feed for the throttle bodies but as I had to glue down the top of pipes to get them in place they are again hidden. The computer on the firewall was cut from the removed floor section and detailed with paint. There isn't an alternator on show in the engine bay as it is on the tailshaft of the gearbox as it was on the racecar but again it is hidden. The wheels are 19" hobby design ssr's with bridgestone tyres. The brakes are from the calibra with a few mods to narrow the backing plate to get the wheels in the arches, and have the pipes on the front only as by this time I realised there was little point plumbing the rears as they would never be seen. The interior is mostly stock other than the front seats which are from a fujimi enthusiast ferrari. It is all flocked and detailed with foil including the door handles which have the cups done in black for a bit of contrast and the dash has the clocks detailed by using a small bit of sprue dipped in paint with the excess removed and then when near dry rotated in the clocks to leave only the numbers painted. I also added a japanese towing eye on the front made from a paperclip and some brown ribbon. The body and chrome is stock and was painted with duplicolour auto paints and foiled. I would have liked the glass to fit better but with it being one piece there wasn't much I could do about it. I think that's it all so on with the show, and there are a few extras for your viewing enjoyment.
