Does anyone have any experience of Imex kits? I just found a 58 caddilac on ebay which I've bought, however it's not a brand I've heard of before and was wondering if there are any problems with them I should look out for.

I have the '58 Imex Cadillac kit Les and I think it is a very good quality kit. Everything is wrapped in the kit, even the body and frame. No loose parts. Nice detailing, even the tires. I haven't unwrapped any parts but I don't see mold lines or sink marks. I think it is a sweet kit.
My observation isn't always the best to take on a kit as it has to be a really, really BAD kit before I discount it. Out of the 1,000 kits I have I have only thrown one in the trash without even thinking of building it because it was so bad, but I really think the Imex kit is above average quality. I think you will be pleased with it.
I think Dale has built one. Not sure though.

I have seen on eBay. There are a few I would like to add to the collection, doubt I will ever build one.

It looks like it's the same as the imai kits so it might be a typo on the sellers post. There seems to be 3 versions of the caddy though and it's a brougham hardtop version I've got on the way
