This build was originally started for the 3rd Anniversary Contest - Wagons.
Naturally, I did not finish on time for the contest, but at least I did finish!
Pretty much box stock, other than some engine wiring. Paint job is Dupli-color Universal chrome, then over laid with translucent green.
One coat of clear to seal the decals, other than that, just some good old fashioned polishing.
I applied some cool Jerrys Cherrys window decals, even has a JC's bumper sticker!
Also dug out some Keystone Cragar rims from the parts drawer, and fitted the rear rims with some NASCAR slicks. Also painted up an extra, resin, high rise cowl hood, to swap out depending on the look your going for. Mom grabbin groceries, or a wild Saturday night at the local drags. Green flocking for carpet and head liner. Installed some photo etch seat belts - it was an option back in the day, I think? Exterior chrome trim hand painted, except for the roof, here I used some really thin, chrome finger nail striping and, oh yeah, almost forgot - worked out a custom vinyl roof.
All in all, it may have taken longer than what I would have liked, but it did come out fairly well I think.
