Hi all.......... I'm 62, a disabled Vietnam era vet, and I'm coming back to modeling after 50+ years to combat depression over my disability and anger issues over the way I (and too many others), have been treated by the "Veteran's Administration". ( OK, you'll never hear me rant about THAT again ) I guess I'm going to be building what you guys seem to call " Rat Rods " - I like that  I called 'em jalopies, but anyways, I want to build some of the "shade tree" specials I remember from when I firt discovered cars!! (*sometimes I think that was both the best & worst day of my life - LOL) Anyway......Thanks for the "invite", and hope to have some fun here.............." olfogey " ( Jim Jeffries ) |

Hey Jim I salute you for your service to our country and welcome, and I hear you about the VA it's atrocious the care that is given to many of our veterans. I have a dear friend fighting to fix such issues. Blessings to you I for one say your anger is justified. On the up side building models is great therapy for me I've discovered.  |

Thanks for the welcome guys!! As for me posting pics of builds...........THAT'S going to take awhile A) Haven't built a thing in 50 years (lol) B) DON'T HAVE A CLUE about that whole picture posting thing........don't even know where to start. Right now, I'm in the process of rounding up kits, parts, tools, paint, etc. etc. etc. -- you know how that goes It's a bit slower for me because I'm on a small fixed income, but when I get to the point of at least having some "WIP" shots to show, the NEXT order of business is learning all about the picture thing. (62 here & I know just enough about the computer to be dangerous.....(lol) |

Well, Jim. If you take a look at our Mall you'll find a link to my store on eBay. All you need is a paypal account to pay, but that's free also. This week I won't have anything for sale since next week is a holiday weekend. But next Saturday morning il list more kits. I do that every week. Some times they're new and sometimes they're rebuilders. Lots of good folks here buy kits from me once in a while. For the pictures there is a How to for photobucket in the .tutorial section. That'll help you with them picture posting. In the meantime, feel free to hang around like you've been so far. Voting time for MOTM and some other tournaments is coming pretty soon at the end of the month so stay tuned for that

Might be in the market for a kit now and then, but I don't "do" Ebay. I do however, have "PayPal". I got chased off Ebay years ago.......got tired of the crooks and the idiots (lol) |

As for posting pictures.........that's going to be a bit of an "issue", I'm afraid  Since I live on a fixed income, I can't afford a "hosting" site, and I'm not computer savvy enough to find a free one that is both easy to use and dependable. (62 & know just enough about the computer to mess it up) ( I kind of need "picture posting for dummies" - LOL ) |
