Guys/Gals Before anyone ask's or says anything. I know this is not a MOPAR like I normally build. This is one of those go back to basics kits. Don't want to screw up a MOPAR kit! Before I go and do this the way I would do it and screw it up more. What do you all do to remove scratches from a model after you paint it? As you can see the scratches are in the plastic level. I thought I had smoothed it down before primer, then didn't see it before paint. Maybe I was too tired when I gave it a look over before paint I don't know.
Model:2013 Mustang BOSS 302
Primer: Tamiya Grey(spray can) Paint:HOK Kasmos Red

I would try some wet sanding. Start out with some 2000 grit, then a round of 2500 or 3000 grit, and finally a couple quick rounds of 4000 through 6000 grit. Then hit it again with some paint. No matter what grit is used, I always finish with 6000 grit to get it smooth and ready for paint

CC
That is what I normally do. But it never really works that great for me and end up having to strip and start over. At this point I have no other choice but to try and do it again.

Small update I chatted with Dale and come to find out that the sanding film I use ( hobby lobby ) was missing a sheet of paper. What I thought was 1000 was actually 600 and what I thought was 600 was 400. So i used the 400 to sand the bare plastic. And ended up using the 600 on the primer thus the scratches I had to correct. I wet sanded the area and repainted today. It looks alot better. Will post pics sometime tomorrow

Glad you got it worked out - that Dale - he is totally awesome!!!
These are what I get from Hobby Lobby - they are sanding pads - cheap and work great. I think they do a much better job than sanding sheets, though there are those times you need the sheet. But for the body, pretty much as a whole, I have been using these for some time now, just love em.
I put the link below so you can see what they are - Hobby Lobby Rocks!!!

That sucks the red sheet was missing, I would say I use that one more than the rest myself!
