I'm halfway through with stripping the body of my Camaro, and I've been thinking about doing some modifications to it. I was thinking about shaving the firewall and inner fenders, removing the emblems, and deleting the drip rails and fender trim.
The firewall and inner fenders won't be a problem, and the emblems should come off easily as well, but I'm undecided on the drip rails and fender trim.
I might try to scratchbuild a new grille but that's for later.
Any tips on how to remove all these features? Lucas.

For the firewall I would probably trace it onto some flat sheet and cut a new one, and for the rest I would use small jewelers files and sandpaper/sanding sticks/emery boards but be prepared to have to add a little filler. I'm sure the other guys will have other methods that might be better though

When you remove the emblems and drip rail, (which I would also use a fine file and fine sandpaper), you will get some ghosting, IE: the badge and drip rail will reappear after you paint it, so you will need to hit it with some good sealer undercoat, and heavy, so it soaks in, then sand it back again, do this a couple of times until it is smooth with out sanding through to the plastic, you should be good to paint then.
