Hello, I have used the search function, as well as manually searched a good bit of posts to find an answer with no success. If this has been answered before, please feel free to point me in that direction!

So below is the painted transmission from my Revell '68 Dodge Charger R/T build I'm working on. I am happy with the overall color of it, but I am stuck on details. I just feel like something is missing as far as either the color of some parts or section of it. Just feels off to me with it being a solid color. Any help or direction with any color, or details I can add would be much appreciated!

(For reference, the body is a dark, metallic blue and the engine block is the red seen in the background of the pics below.)

My apologies if this is posted in the wrong section.

X2 - I agree with Ice - throw a coat of Tamiya smoke on it, you will be surprised at how some details will come out

This is an 833 manual transmission which would not have a dipstick. The bell housing could be painted engine color, or as been suggested a wash would bring out the details. Shifter linkage would be a nice detail to add, just goggle 833 transmission for referance. Hope this helps.
