Well this arrived in time for Father's Day and one of my boys came through for old dad. I tried to put it aside and finish my bobber, but it was soon clear that it was a bench clearer kit, so I did.

I am building it with as much or the stock kit parts as I can, while installing and AMT Chevy inline six, with a Paxton supercharger from the recent Revell '57 Fords. I have stretched the chassis just after the steering box mount 1/4 inch. A new tranny and engine cross-member were added. I have removed two springs from the front suspension to get her lower in the front. More soon.

Some work today. First off, my test spray of my Duplicolor metallic black blushed big time even when sprayed indoors in my booth. It's just too humid. However, the Modelmaster lacquer red that I put on the dash, looked great. So we do some quick thinking and decide on Testors One Coat Rootbeer Brown, as it goes nicely with the red engine and I've come up with something usual but complimentary for the roof insert. After I decide on decals, I'll be shooting the body with some flat clear for that suede look.

Leopard pattern. It's supposed to have a tan background to really look like leopard pattern, but I think it looks cool. Remote oil filter and the final engine pieces ready for primer.

I'm glad you guys like it. I was a little bummed when I realized the decals was clear with spots and not gold with spots like a real leopard print, but it has grown on me. The decal sheet came from Scale Motortsports. I primed the last engine pieces last night. I still have to figure out my headlight mounts and get the friction shocks in place in front. More soon.
