When clear plastic windows get scuffed or scratched is there any way to fix them? I've heard of wet sanding or some kind of polish, but I don't want to ruin any parts experimenting. These are only minor scuffs (like from shipping or mishandling).

There is a 3 step kit by Novus that I personally use. It's gotten the oldest windshields to look almost new again.

I've read about using toothpaste as a polish on windows. I'd guess it's not the type with bits in though but maybe try it on a scrap window first

Thanks! I'll get a piece of clear sprue and try the toothpaste first. Where do you get Novus at Iceman?

I buy it on ebay but if you google it as Novus Plastic Polish you'll find it's available in a ton of places.

I use a very fine wet/dry, then a top quality auto polish, it will bring them up like new.

If it's light scratches & scuffs I use 2000 grit, the deeper the scratch you test it but I never start no rougher than 1500 & always finish with either 2000 or 2500 grit

I have a pack of 1000 through 2500 grit & some turtle wax. I'll practice on a junkyard piece and see what happens...

I heard people brushing on Future to fill the scratches, not sure how deep they though.

Just minor surface scuffs - I'll practice sanding then polishing on a junk piece as said above, maybe try some McGuires on it.
