This one has been in the works a few months and I went back to it on Saturday. I've finally got the bed cemented in place. So its time to do the last bit of sanding and get a solid primer coat on. I've got the rear suspension lowered 3 inches and will be working on the front soon. Here is the WIP link and two shots that give you an idea where I'm going with this. s53.photobucket.com/user/Jantrix/library/50%20Olds%20Ute?sort=3&page=1I have two ideas on finish. First a classic flat black with off colored wheels/interior or gloss rootbeer with a beige interior and wheels. More and better pics soon.

I figure if you go to all this trouble customizing a body, you need to show it off mate, make it POP!! It is looking real good too, it's just like our Aussie Ute's...

Enjoying watching this come together, what did you use for the back of the cab? I used two pieces of sheet. The outer has a smaller window opening than the inner, so there is a place to insert a piece of glass and it doesn't look too thick looking through the rear opening. The frame I made with half round stock. Using two sheets gave me enough thickness that I could put a decent curve on the edge so it doesn't look just chopped off. I'm glad you guys like this. Lowering it has turned out to be harder than I imagined. I'm still working on the engineering.
