Thanks for posting this Ole. It is quite mesmerizing. I had seen some of this guys work before, but not this entire slide show. This guy not only has over the top diorama skills, but mad photography skills as well.

Bloody amazing!!! BUT you can achieve a lot with unlimited resources. This guy probably builds sets for movie's and has any supply he wants at his finger tips.

Knarf: my wife and I refer to him as the "stalking elf" lol. NOBODY was like him. Every rock singer is unique; some predictable (Ozzy) but RJD had that fire in his eyes, whether live or video. I think he teamed up with Vivian Campbell on a lot of work, but I thought he worked with another well-known Strat guitarist (not Blackmore!) Oh well. It got hard trying to ignore the satanic imagery as a believer despite the fact songs like "Last in Line" proposed the question of society's true nature (Deep thoughts, by Bob Handley) or something like that LOL>

trudat mitch, he was one of a kind. when i seen him he had that 18 yr old guitar virtuoso whose name i forget and although the bill also included whitesnake(w/steve vai)poison, vixen, aerosmith, the front and cold sweat, dio did rock the best and was the most enjoyable.

Oh no, yer bringin' it all back now. I don't think he ever played with Yngvie; I know who you're talking about though. He played a Strat and was the same guy Ozzie used right after Randy died. My Ozzy concert got cancelled right after the death and I got Brad Gillis from Night Ranger as a sit-in. I'd have loved to see Vai that night and Vixen was really FM listening stuff with no really heavy guitar but the hair extensions were insane! My favorite songs to play and watch the vids are "Holy Diver" and "Last in Line".

yes that's the guy! vai played that big heart shaped guitar w/2 necks on one side and one on the other and kept switching between the sides and never skipped a beat, was most impressive. but nothing compared to that 7string electric he played...WOW!!! i concur with the two DIO songs you mentioned and add dream evil.

If you want the next level from EVH nowadays, check out Michael Angelo Batio ex-guitarist of Nitro. The singer Jim Gillette could break a glass with his voice; Mike played a homemade 4 necked 24 fret (each) guitar made of aluminum. He played left handed, right handed, upside down on each side, etc. Best of the best in speed freak. Somebody stole the lower 2 halves of the axe and he never got them back. However, he now plays 27 fret dbl necks and puts his name on several Korean made 22 fret models of various trim from $1200 down to $700. Go on YOUTube and search on Nitro Freight Train Runnin'...
