There a bigger than usual storm coming through my area, Houston Tx., and right now I have ankle deep water in my home and still rising and still raining. Models and other things are floating everywhere. I have put up everything I can but there is no room left. The last time this happened in 2004 we lost home, cars, clothes everything. Hopefully it won't be like that this time. Last time we left until the water went down. This time we are both in wheelchairs and have to wait it out. No way to get out. The water is waist high in the street in front of my house and there isn't anybody to take us in anyway so we will be here for the duration. Prayers and things would be appreciated.

I was already thinking of you Dennis, I know the rains you are getting, and I am so sorry the floods have come to you. If we were closer, you and your family would have a place to go. You have my number if you need to talk, and I sure hope the water recedes soon for you. Keep us updated as best you can my friend |

Thanks for the support guys. It's nice to know you have friends to talk to in good times and bad. Just got TV and internet back. We didn't lose a lot but everything is a mess. We had a foot of water in the house. We just finished a $12,000 remodeling job on this house that was finished last week and we had to take out a loan for. New floors through the whole house and they have come loose in the water are coming up now. Big covered new deck in the back that we found out floats. We have to hire people to help us clean up that we really can't afford. We have insurance but it's $1200.00 deductible and we don't have that. It will work itself out but it is harder for us since we are older and weaker than we used to be. I dearly hate not being able to do things I used to do. Thanks for being there guys we sure appreciate it here. I have a couple of pictures I'll put up when I can.

Thank you so very much. We are starting to get things cleaned up. Have to hire help. I can't get used to being helpless and asking others to do things I always did myself. I was so fired up and strong when I was young. My modeling area is a wreck. I had kits floating everywhere and had to scramble to try to get them out of the water and put up. Lot of wet ones but no boxes came apart and spilled their contents. Most of the models I had built on shelves fell and broke. I don't know if I can get them back together or not. Can't stand to really look at them yet. They are just piled in boxes. My wife and I really appreciate all of your prayers and support. God Bless this forum and all of the members.
