This was the first Johann kit I've made, and I was impressed. Detail and fit are definitely a cut above the rest. For the most part it was pretty easy to figure out where the parts went together, despite less than helpful illustrations. In spite of that I managed to get the right front fender a bit higher than the left. I have no idea why and by the time I'm finished I'm too frustrated to go back and do it over. Anyway I think this came out OK. I don't know if it's because the kit is old, but the plastic seemed a bit brittle and easy to break. And even on this kit the opening doors, trunk and hood didn't work very well and I ended up cutting off the hinges. Enjoy the ride.

For those who want to get on of these kits, keep in mind that the supply is finite, and the longer you wait the more you'll have to pay for one. They're already pretty spendy, at least to me.

I was never completely happy with the color. At some point I'll probably do it over. I'd get another kit if they weren't so darned expensive.

I would love one, but mainly for the turbine, would go well in a rod.. What do you make your seatbelts out of, they really look good, and finish off the interior i reckon.

Those seat belts are painted masking tape, hardware from Model Car Garage. Model Car Garage also sells strips of material for use as seat belts, and I've used those in other models. The material looks great, but unfortunately you have no choice of colors.
