Made a start on this today. Only got it primed so far but I will be opening the hood and fitting a v6 engine. It's a curbside at the moment but has decent chassis detail, and the engine bay shouldn't be too bad to build. I was going to fit a skyline engine but it is nearly as long as the hood so had to change that plan. For now the only sure plan is to add an engine and change the wheels. Probably going to stay with wires but nicer ones than those in the kit.

I'm trying the primer early thing that Deecee does, and I'm glad I tried it as there's a small crack above the window which showed up when it was primed, which didn't show before.

Yep, that's why I primer as well, always seem to find something I missed before the primer coat

Slight change of plan on this, all will become clear when my next parcel arrives but it's not going to be on wires anymore

How is the quality of the kit? I've never built that brand

It's not bad, curbside but there's a few resin conversions available for the more popular japanese car kits they do but not for this one. The interior isn' the best as there isn't much detail on the door panels. I've not seen any mould flash on the outside of the body either, but there is a load under the hood area. They seem to do a few different versions of this kit and a few other similar size trucks both slammed and lifted, and the price isn't bad compared to tamiya and fujimi

My engine for the change of direction has arrived. Should work out pretty well I think.

Trimmed down the chassis rails tonight and got the engine a little more together. I think I'll have to do some research now to find out where to put the wires as I have no ides how this would be wired. Being a supercar engine it wouldn't surprise me if they were hidden under panels of some sort but this one will be more exposed. I know I'll have to do a little reshaping on some of the exhaust as the turbos exit onto the chassis at the moment. It's going to be a much tighter fit than you would think too as I want to use as much of the jaguar engine bay as possible so the radiators might stick out the bed sides a little bit.
