63 Corvette Gasser (lots of fabrication)

Next step was to make some ladder bars for the rear suspension. I made these out of what you see in the pictures.

Next I hit the parts box and chose some good tires and wheels for the car. After that I painted all the stuff up to install it on the chassis.

Thanks Paul. Will post a picture later today. Nobody posted it but looking at this car for awhile it became obvious to me how hideous this car actually looked. Just not an even flow on this one. Liked the hard work being visible but not the back dragging appearance. So...off comes the altered 63 body, up comes the rear chassis a bit, on goes an unalaltered 64 body I rescued and this car becomes a 64 highboy gasser. I think this looks better IMHO.

Thanks guys. I like it better like this. Them ladder bars turned out better than I thought they would. A bit out of scale but gasser always have larger than life ladder bars on them since I figured what the heck, go for it. Got a nice 427 going in the car. I do want to change the body still. Would like a 63 convertible with the hard top on it for the body as this was my plan at first. The Prestige 63 Vette I had coming did not happen so I went with the fastback for the time. Have to make motor mounts then do a bit of cutting on them inner fenders and make them big fender well hedders. I was thinking of going banana yellow with red tinted windows with some custom decals? Lots more builds like this in the works. At least out of all of this I will never be in need of leafsprings again. I can make up a pair or set in an hour.
