Having just moved recently I was so pleased to find out that there was a hobby store in my new town ! Not a big Hobby Lobby or Hobbytown USA but a simple little Mom and Pop place. Green River Hobbies. I met the owner Matthew Schramm and found him to be as nice and dedicated to the hobby as all of us. I of course extended and invite for him to join JsCs and I left a stack of JsCs business cards for all future customers. Now for any of you who live in an area that does not have any source for stuff and rely on ebay. Let me know and I can pick up and send you anything you might need probably alot cheaper. They have a web page and a newsletter if you want to sign up. Go to grhobbies@geneseo.net I truly believe that in this hobby we have to support these mom and pop shops or the hobby is sure to disappear .

Their is a maw & paw hobby shop in Phoenix ( Andy's Hobby Headquarters ) and he carries just plastic kits of cars, aircraft, ships, Si-Fi and a whole bunch for tanks which is what he started with but has a good selection on everything and is building the car aftermarket up pretty good.
He's doing a model contest the 20th of Feb. and I'll post some pictures of the entries. Yes I do deal with him and he has every thing marked down 10% in the whole store. smiley-greet016

I'm lucky enough to have a couple in my area I frequent.
I love going to them for the good conversation and great service. Something I have never found at the big box stores.
