The gray and black Monte from Bandit Bandit Bandit. Don't mind the Buick in the back as it will go for something else. It donated itself for the cause. Its molded in red so I'm not painting as the cage already needs to be red. I will be adding roll bar padding, and if you see the nose on the movie car pic it is not like the standard monogram monte nose. I overlooked it last time and kicked myself. I wanna figure out how to get my build to look like that

The front on the movie car looks just like the monte ss front with below the grille replaced with flat sheet.

The front on the movie car looks just like the monte ss front with below the grille replaced with flat sheet. That's what I was meaning. I'll probably get some sheet from the hobby shop. Window net never shows in the movie so I will cut it away again.I will get the wheels stripped of chrome and I am using 12-2g wiring for roll bar padding. Cut about a foot off and carefully remove the outer coating from the copper wire then slice that coating like a hot dog bun and slide it on the bar There is a thin clear plastic coating over the black rubber. I make a tiny slice and slowly peel away

Honestly, I do not see why a couple of flat styrene sheets would not do the trick for the lower valance

Honestly, I do not see why a couple of flat styrene sheets would not do the trick for the lower valance That's what I'm thinking. Should I cut away the entire bottom area or just grind it back some to leave an area to attach sheet to?

May be a ton of work to grind back just some. Maybe just leave a couple lower tabs to glue the sheet to. I myself would probably just cut off the valance, and attach a sheet to the tabs left over.
You may want to try and "mold" the new sheet a little with some heat. It's kind of like sheet metal on a late model car if you will

Ok game changer... Chassis mounting tabs under the front clip are gonna stop me from cutting off the lower section. I will probably use bondo or modeling clay and shape it as good as possible to the flat look and keep it as smooth as possible.

I filled it in and will get it smoothed out into the look I want. I hate waiting on stuff to dry though lol.
