can't even believe I am gonna try something box stock.. but anyways, are you allowed to alter the kit as long as you do not add pieces? like the use of bondo for chop tops, lowering or raising suspensions, radius wheel wells, etc, etc, etc....

This is all in choosing the right kit. A heavily optioned kit will let you do a lot more . But the idea is not to add to what the kit is already giving you . To your question , yes you can do what ever you want as long as you use only what is in the kit . Glue and body putty are exceptible just no other parts.

perfect, thanks. I may have changed my mind on what I am doing anyways, was going to do a GTX pro street kit and lower the suspension, now I may just do the 70 hemi cuda. maybe.

Ice and GB will have to give the "official" word on this.
Mels drive in each week is something GB has always done for fun. It's not a contest, so you can enter something you took to Mel's in a contest.
Again, Ice or GB will let you know for sure, but I am positive you can enter into the contest

well, as usual, builds and plans have changed. don't know if I will get this one in on time. actually, it's not even on the bench at this time. I need a hot looking secretary to help me organize... no secretarial skills required... hehe....
