Thanks GB and J! I have considered several different interior colors finally deciding on two tone gray. First I sprayed everything light gray primer. Once dry, I masked off the seats and door panels and sprayed the darker areas with Krylon dark gray satin. I've also, painted the spare tire cover two tone to match the paint job, and detail painted the inside. The Revell 57 Chevy kit that donated it's convertible top boot and spare tire cover had a set of 22" (?) steelies with baby moon hubcaps that I thought would fit better with continatial kit, but they would cover up the great looking 4 wheel disc brakes, so I stuck with the Wheel option that came witht he kit.

Those wheels look great mate, and that new interior color will work PERFECTLY with that paint job.

so now the trouble starts.....
I started applying the BMF and the windshield frame is so flimsy it broke! I finally had to glue the windshield in place to finish it.
Once the foil was complete I glued the body and interior together and then glued the assembly onto the chassis, where I managed to smear some of the glue onto the lower body AAAAUUUUGGGGG!!!
Let that dry and touched up the paint then went to attach the rear bumper with the continental kit and discovered that the rear bumper isn't the same on 55 and 56 Chevys. I almost ready glue the 56 bumper in place and call it good. But since the continental kit was a major part of the concept, I knew I'd have to keep it. While the regular bumpers are one piece, the continental bumpers actually come in several sections that are bolted together. I cut the center section out of the 55's bumper and then held it against the 5's bumper and marked where it would need to be cut so I could combined them into a bumper that would fit the Delray. The contour of the bumpers aren't an exact the same, but they are close and since I wasn't up for stripping off the chrome matching the shape perfectly then rechroming them with Alcad I left them alone.
The front bumper grille and headlights when together without a hitch, including a custom touch I added to the grille. Now all that is left is to add some minor details like windsheld wipers and door handles....or maybe I'll leave the handles shaved...hummmm thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon
Here are some pic's.

Thanks JB. Also thanks CC and JC for the comments before my last post. I plan to wrap this one up this afternoon, but I won't attach the door handles yet...what do you guys think about leaving them shaved? Maybe I should post a picture without them to give you a visual.

I think it would look good either, but I'd lean towards shaved.

I'm glad you were able to fix some of the mishaps you ran in to. I'm sure we wouldn't have caught it if you didnt mention it. I hate when that happens also. Countless times I've been in the final assembly stage and failed to see the glue from my fingers and bam! It sucks.
The chrome trim and continental kit gives it a classic look for me so going with the shaved door handles kind of contradicts that look for me. Not sure where you ended up on the ride height but if it's as low as your mockup pics then it might still work as a custom and then I would go with the shaved handles.
Just my 2 cents

I will add 17 cents to the kitty.....
Handles for sure - like Ice said, this has a classic feel to it - so for sure I would go with the handles as well

I think I would pick Handles also , they would go with the Classic look. The only other thing I might suggest is , NOT leaving the convertible top boot - White. I feel it needs to be Body Color or Interior Color rather than White. That is just my 1 1/2 cents any way. Great Build though , look's totally AWESOME ! ! hand-clapping-smiley-emoticon hand-clapping-smiley-emoticon

Thanks Tom, you know originally I was thinking about doing the interior light purple and white so the white top kind of made sense, but now that the interior is grey, I think I may have to paint it to match! Thanks bud!
