Had begun this as a long bed 4X4 and had an idea on this instead. Parts for the conversion are from the Revell Tow Truck model. WHAT A CRUMMY MODEL THAT KIT IS! I tacked the bed together, cut down the back of the frame and trimmed and shimmed the bed to align with the rear window of the cab. Took a drill and rounded out the insides of the front and rear ends and drilled out the wheels to fit 1/8th inch plastic rod for axles. Not pictured is the push bumper I modified to fit the front. Have to get this kit painted up soon as the weather will is changing quick and if I dont get paint on it I will have to wait for it to warm up again. How does this one look so far?  |

Wow, deja vu, looks just like mine! I was thinking of changing the rear chassis but I did not like the thin axle and narrow frame. I used the stock Dodge Truck chassis and suspension. Making those axles was the only modification other that snipping and shaping on the back of the frame area. Either way yours looks cool. I'm going to mount the push bumper this afternoon. Wish I had access to custom decals for this one!

I started building the wrecker & rollback around 2012-2013 The rollback uses the tires & wheels from the wrecker kit too  |
