First one is a Little Red Express chassis, interior, and cab. The springs, and shocks are from a glue bomb Monster truck. The axles are from a Revell Chevy pickup with snow plow kit. The weheels, and hubs are from the same Chevy truck kit. The tires are from Paul, (got to use them at last buddy) and the setup is much more street friendly. I had to file, sand, and shape to get the springs to fit right. Cut and filed down the riser blocks about halfway down from the Monster truck height to bring the truck down to earth. I did use the quad shocks on all four corners but cut them down to two on each corner as when put on with all four on each corner it was a bit overkill. Cut the shocks off on the outsides, cut the shocks in half, drilled out the larger side and put the smaller side into the larger and sized them to fit the spring and axle height. I also mounted the shocks outside the axles instead of inside because the more narrow axles used made mounting them inside not possible.

Yeah buddy. It sure does. Dodge trucks are tuff and this fits the bill. Don't know how this ones going to turn out. Trying to get about the hundred different ways in my head sorted out. Would like lots of scratchbuilt stuff added to this one and a bright paint job. Don't think anybody makes aftermarket stuff for this kind of truck so lots of fabrication is in order for sure.

Stuff not made for this truck. I think we had some back and forth on it. Going with front and rear tube bumpers, stepside roll bar with lights on it, side tube steps, and support rods from both sides of the axles to a plate on the frame kinda like a car crusher truck. Just a wierd idea I have as a way to build this one. Want a total one of a kind truck, (wait! Don't I have one of those already lol).

Next was to make part of the tube bumpers and holes drilled to install them on the mounting pins on the frame.

So, I started with this first thing this morning. While I was waiting for parts to set I finished off the bumpers, fabricated mounts and tube side step tubes and got them on. Spent some time fabricating a step side roll bar and got that tacked in. Installed the bumpers and this is the end result. It looks more like a 4X4 now. Still thinking about strut support rods and this truck needs fog lights for sure but its getting to look more like I wanted it to in the first place. Before After
