Started thinking of this one in post op waiting for my wife. Picked this and other kits up the day before I went in for surgery. I have never built a fat fender car and thought this would be a neat way to put one together. I started mocking this up and cutting the back half of the chassis and adding a 70 Coronet Prostreet back half in the stock back chassis place. Did some crude measuring and got it to line up with the stock 41 front Chassis. I will be using the fuel injected 340 out of a Duster kit. The stock 41 Plymouth front suspension will be getting used but will be getting lowered. This is just a mockup and will be getting some tweaking prior to putting the chassis all together. So far it looks like it will be a nice looking car! hey Chas looking great. got some great ideas flowing. fat fendered cars are fun to build. here is some insperation for you. i have one going, used the pro street willys chassis under mine. would put it in the WIP section, but it's not "IN PROGRESS" much anymore. just sits in a box waiting..... look forward to seeing yours done, what color you thinking of?

Thanks sera!! Thought this idea might work. So far its looking promising. Tubbs, no color out there yet. Long time before that happens. I was thinking though that testors White lightening with that Pearl Clearcoat on top and some heavy metallic color on the bottom. Maybe that fiery orange I painted the Nova I have. Bottom line it has to be two tone. Saw an off white lacquer that may go better but still that pearl clearcoat all over it along with one of my signature two tone interiors. Kind of absorbed in fabbing up all sorts of add on goodies for that toned down Monster truck creation I am doing but its all in my head so it will be getting done. By the way, have not forgot about tires from you at some point. I will have to get a picture of what im looking for. No prostreet tires but solid Good Years with the nice raise scripts. I will let ya know. Would like to get a set of wheels for this car. Something like Torque thrusts very deep and very shallow. Dont have any like this to spare anymore. Maybe have to look at Resin wheels (I HATE RESIN) and see what they have. Chas.
