How do you guys prep your resin parts for paint? I was thinking maybe soaking overnight in the purple pond, but am unsure if it will damage the resin. Any help is appreciated.

It sometimes depends on how the parts were made or who made them, in other words. Some people use the Wesley stuff. I can't remember the name because I've never used it, but I know it works. I use a lot of resin parts from all over except bodies. I asked Norm Vebber of Miniatures and Replicas of Maryland once what to use, he's considered one of the best resin makers going, so I thought he would know. He told me soap and warm water on his parts and got mad when I suggested Wesley's. I use soap and water on just about everybody's resin and have had no problem. Rubbing alcohol will work also. I'm no resin expert by any means but I do use a lot of it from a lot of different makers. I know you don't want to use lacquer thinner. Resin can be delicate stuff and it will harm it. Warm water and dish soap works great for me. I rub the parts with a soft cloth while I wash them, rinse them good, let them dry thoroughly and good to go. Different makers use different products in different ways but, so far the soap and water thing has worked on all of them.

Wesleyan works well. Soap and water is good. Rubbing alcohol is great also. Any of those will work.
I also recommend letting every layer of paint gas out completely too
