Thanks Junkman. It's amazing how the market value goes crazy for unusual kits. I lucked out on such crazy builds as the Matt & Debbie Hays twin supercharged 1990 T-Bird, the Rick Dobbertin Pontiac J2000 twin supercharged, twin-turbo'd ride and the Soff Seal '57 Chevy pro mod for less than normal market value. The limited production Glidden '87-88 Championship season T-Bird is my latest a acquisition; a $35-40 value that a single unopened kit went under the radar with a starting bid of $29. The auction closed out 3 times with zero bids. The last auction had the starting bid at $20 and yet it still closed. I contacted the seller and he changed it to a buy it now for 20 dollars and I snatched it up!
It was only manufactured (in this packaging and molding) due to the fact specially designed wheels were requested by Bob Glidded and were discontinued after October of last year. I've already built a Glidden/Iaconia '86 pro stock with the exact same molding (except the wheels), so I might put a resin Kobelco blower and pro mod hat on the 429 BOSS engine and make a pro mod out of it!

cool. The only pro street / drag cars I like is Pontiac J 2000. I think that is a cool looking beast. I have 3 of those so far...

Excellent stash. Did I see a box of honeybuns too? I could live in that room . You have quite a few I'm still wanting to get someday, although I may never be able to build all the ones I have already, but that's not the point. Thanks skip. Yes just the box. I was there long enough for them to disappear..lol being able to build all you have is to hard. Easier to collect... Which ones you looking for? Looking for? well my problem is I like too many different varieties. I started building a new stash about a year ago, mostly with Corvettes, and then kind of did the "oh look a squirrel!" from there. After I regroup here soon from paying taxes, tags, licenses, insurance and stuff that all hits the first few months each year, I want to whittle away on getting big rigs and show cars for my little hoarding addiction. The first show cars I'm going after are the Lil Coffin and Ice T. Then some of the others like the Lil Mixer, Lil Tanker, Beer Wagon, Boot Hill Express, Barnabas Vampire Van, etc., etc. I want to get some more vans too. So far I have only one van, the AMT Sun Chaser. Just too many to list. I am convinced I have a mental disorder. I know my stash count is over 200, of which 50 to 60 are Corvettes, need to reorganize and take inventory.

Rigs and show cars can be very addicting..lol the ones you seek are very getable these day. They are on the cheaper end of the show car branch. When you get to the other end then it is an addiction I say.. The Lil cash box, One arm bandit, Lil hot dogger, Out house, milk truck, and more are at the expensive end. As for vans I have about 17 total. Let me know when you are looking..

It's "supposed" to be rare, but it's value is only in how much someone will pay for it! I found one sealed and in great box condition. It's an insane dual supercharged, dual turbo'd Pro Street car and I'll probably have to be bribed to open it and build it! I've also got another oddity - the Matt & Debbie Hays 351ci. dual supercharged/intercooled T-bird.

I have another stash upstairs away from prying eyes (read wife), that has all my rare and collectable stuff, mainly bike kits Steve

It would take a large check to actually talk me out of all of them and too hard to just get rid of a few.

Yeah, one of the "stones" trucks will be on the workbench soon I hope. Current projects include: Turning one of the USA-1 trucks into Carolina Crusher 2, Building one of the 33 Willys, and pouring tires.

Yes, the tire project has turned into more than I wanted it to, but I am still pretty excited about doing it overall.

Well you got me there... I should have been more clear... what I should have said was, I have more money invested in that collection an I care to count and I wouldn't even sell my kits for the price I paid for them because they are worth more to me than that.

Thanks! I am a lifelong gearhead so I have grown to like a variety of vehicles. There really isn't much that I don't like. I think my model collection has hit critical mass, but if I had more time and money, I still have interest in some vehicles that are not part of my collection yet. There are lots of cool foreign car kits out there as well as military ground vehicles and planes.
