Getting back into the hobby, haven't put together a kit for probably 20 years. Been wrenching on 1:1 street cars and race cars for all my life. Looking forward to getting going in the hobby. Currently finishing up a workshop in my garage for all the madness to take place!
Current 1:1 is a '98 Corvette. I have a passion for anything with a small block Chevy in it!!!
Nice to meet you all!

Welcome Wes. I saw a pic of your shop in progress in the other forum. Welcome! You'll like it here. Many of us at some point came back to the hobby and this place has been great help. Let us know if you need anything.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I hope to be back building soon. I don't expect much given I haven't built a kit in 20 years but it will be fun regardless....and unfortunately winter is right around the corner....got to have a hobby right??
Sharp - that is a great looking Roadster! I thought about doing a T-bucket a few years ago. Can't beat the power to weight ratio!

One thing you can do for winter, (I am doing it in a few weeks), is prime, sand and paint a few kits now. That way, when it is cold, you won't have to mess with running out in the snow, spray and run back in.
I have found that when I do that, a few things tend themselves to happen:
1. - I slip and slide and run into something with the build - thus screwing up the paint 2. - The temperature difference tends to do "weird" things to paint 3. - The tape lets go and the dam thing falls in the snow 4. - The dogs bum rush me at the patio door, thus letting the car build magically turn into an airplane build - AND, then it magically turns into a doggie chew toy - yes, this has happened
Gotts love winter - NOT!!! running-around-smiley-emoticon
