Here are the finalized themes for 2016 based on votes: Jan - Annual American Graffiti build - 2015 remake Feb - Show Rods - Think Tom Daniels, George Barris & Darryl Starbird! Mar - Factory Stock - As is from the dealership/factory! Apr - Hot Rod - Any car or truck. Grocery getter, nostalgic or a wild street rod.May - Lowrider - Low & slow is the game! Jun - Any Muscle Car build - Old or new!Jul - Traditional 60s Style Custom - Wild paint jobs, rocket age style adds, & cut down rooflines! (Up to a 69 car) Aug - Any van - Shaggin Wagons & Rock & Roll on wheels! Sep - Hot Wheels Replica - Must have the 1/64 and include in pics (must be a Hot Wheel) Oct - "In Memory of Knarf" - any Truck - built anyway 2 wheel drive, 4 wheel drive , Monster Truck and Semi Nov - Any Pro Street - Legal or not! Dec - Any MOPAR - Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, Imperial, DeSoto & Jeeps If you have any questions ask the Judges. You can build any car at any time; you just need to take pictures so that you can save and share during the appropriate month. See Rules |

Great list of MOTM themes for 2016! Only thing I see that's wrong with it is that I have smileyCACETROO_zps365bb43e for 3/4ths of them and don't think I'll have time to do them all!  |

Man oh man these look great and add to that the theme for the 2016 Anniversary build is Wagons man we have a killer line up for 2016 !!

Going to be another busy year I can see me trying at least 3/4. Question about the hot wheels month dose it have to be a "hot wheels car" or just anything 1:64 scale? Lol

Hey Joel I am planning out my 2016 builds and have a couple of questions. How loose are the rules reguarding factory stock? I'll assume headers and mag wheels are out (unless it was a dealer option such as Baldwin Motion Camaros) Also Hot Rod month states any car new or old, so I'm thinking maybe build a car like me and my buddies would drive back in high school. basicly a muscle car jacked up in the back with wide tires and a set of headers. Would this fit the theme?

I think you got it Alan. For factory it can only have options offered by the dealer.
For hot rod, traditional or modern will be allowed this time around.

Can this be a Johnny Lightning 1/64??? Or maybe a NASCAR - Action or Winner's Circle 1/64???
The reason I ask is.... Some kits have a matching Johnny Lightning 1/64 die cast car included with the kit. Most, if not dam near all NASCAR kits, you can match up with an Action or Winner's Circle 1/64 die cast
Sooooooooooo.......... for the oompa lumpa's like me, that are not as skilled at the super duper, out of sight, chop em up and put em down custom cuttery - LOL This would certainly help to build a match to the 1/64 die cast
Just wondering. If it's a strict, flat out, no excuses, "That better be a Hot Wheels and nothing else", then that is cool as well too.

Lol it does have to be a Hot Wheel. Not all of those are radical customs, bud. I've seen many mild and even stock collectibles from that brand.

Goth , the idea for January MOTM is , if they remade the movie today and the setting was 2015 instead of 1962 what cars would the actors be driving? As a twist you can build anthing but the paint jobs must be the same and give a back story . So Milner might be driving a pro street yellow 70 mustang or Falfa might be in a blacked out 70 nova with twin turbos. Steve might be in a Monte Carlo SS that's white and red ! The Pharos might be in a low rider 64 impala as long as it's the same color as the Merc. So the cars can be anything you want just the same color and don't forget the back story ! The movies the same just 2015
