I started building the rat rod a few weeks ago. Then put it on the back burner when I ran across the 55 Chevy that I started several years back... (I have a bit of Attention Deficit Disorder!) Wanted to get these two done before starting on Milners 32.

If I can get my butt in gear maybe I can finish it before the deadline! AK

Dude! That Tudor is looking good, you need to stay on it for MOTM. Prioritize, it's the one with a dead line. I have to deal with the ADD thing myself, only my wife has diagnosed it as ADOLAS. (Attention Deficit Oh Look A Squirrel).

Thanks guys! I worked on it a couple of hours tonight. All it needs now is finishing! Radiator support rods, headlights, license plate...stuff like that. From the begining of this build I had decided to keep it simple so it's not going to have a lot of extra detail such as plug wires, valve stems on the rims etc. but it been a fun build and I'm glad I can post it here where you guys can enjoy it!I think I may do a mock up of another kit with the stock height as a comparion to show how low this one really sits. Here's a few more pictures I took of my unfinished rat rod. I mocked up another 32 Tudor and parked beside the one I'm building for comparison. Next set of photos will be of the completed model! AK Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Thanks Iceman, but I can't take credit for the chopped top, it's a Jimmy Flintstone resin body. I channeled the body over the frame rails, modified the rear wheel openings to be used with the full fenders and shortened the interior to fit. I'll be attempting my first top chop when I build John Milners 5 window coupe. AK

I see. Did those whit walls come in a kit or did you paint them?

The white walls are painted with acrylic paint I bought from Hobby Lobby. I made a jig that I can chuck into my drill that holds the tire. wide whitewalls are a snap using this. Its also handy for standing the tread to give the tires a used look. Compare the tires on the rat rod to the ones on the mocked up version. AK

I'd be interested in seeing that. Maybe a tutorial on how to make the jig and the white walls. I've done a few using a brush but rarely look even. Usually messy
