Looking to buy or trade for a 73 Plymouth duster. Wanting to build one for my dazed and confused cars. Any help would be great.

I dont think you'll find a 73 in kit form. A 71 may work if youre wiling to do the changes needed to make it a 73...

They did make a 75 Duster kit that's about as close as you will get

I can vouch for the lack of a 73' kit. I owned a 73' 340 Duster and wanted to build a kit of it, and short of finding a $150 annual or dealer promo car, you'll have to convert either the 71' or the 75' issue. The 1975 is the better match, as the 71' has the older style "rounded" grill. Basically, it all comes down to the front ends, as the body style stayed the same throughout the run. The rear panel changed a bit from 1971 to 72' (think of the Dodge Demon taillights) other than that, they were all the same. Little things like bumperettes can be scratched. The 1971 hood was smoother, whereas the 72' hood brought in the squared peak in the middle.
As for kits, the best donor I personally found was an MPC 72' Duster annual that I got as a basket case, otherwise I couldn't afford it !
edit- Also, the 1975 kit is really a Volare if I recall, and the hood shape is wrong. thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon

This is the only issue I know of. If you can find one of these thats rebuildable, your good to go. The 1974 annual is correct also. The Dart Sport has an incorrect hood, and the grille is different. I think there were some aftermarket resin companies doing the hoods, but that was back in the 1990's when I attempted this. The grille is the holy grail basically.

Thanks guy's I really appreciate all the information and pointers. Looks like I've got a very long challenge ahead of me if I really want to build that car.

Hey Mike, I have a pretty cheesed up 73 Sox and Martin Duster body sitting here doing nothing. I dont have the hood but I have the non chromed bumpers and the stock grille. I dont know if you still need this stuff? I did see this body and all the accessories made in Resin and it was like 40 bucks if that helps also. Chas.

hey Mike, you can get the old pro stock kits for a billion dollars. or try here... mcwautomotivefinishes.com/resin/resinlist.htmlabout 3/4's down, under "DUS-73". it is a pro stock kit so you may need some other stuff to complete it.
