Thanks guys. The roof came out amazing. Can't say the same for the rest of the car. Since it was a big body I got brave and did some patterns sprayed some white over it and here is the result. Not sure I'm happy with it. Will sand it and see if I can even out the surface.








Worked a little more on the engine. That's coming along just fine. Took out the Alcalad and sprayed some aluminium on some parts. Used putty to get the transmission painted.

Good idea mate, just a tip, when you lay down stripes, run the back of your thumb nail over the tape, it will make it stick better on the edges and reduce the amount of blead through.
If you do it again, try do the white first too, that way you don't need as much paint on the top coat, which will also reduce the edge that is created.
With so much time left, i would lightly block it back and just go again, it WILL look good with the idea you have.

Thanks for the tip Dale. And the words of encouragement guys. Body is still sitting there. Still haven't decided what to do with it. Min between listing on eBay and family duties, I managed to put a little more of the engine together. Left is the wiring up and the touch ups. Here are. Couple of pics.

Worked on it some more. I sanded the body down and laid gloss on it. Foing ot need a few coats but I like the way it ended up. Just missing the coil on the engine. Added pins to the distributor to make sure the wiring would stay put on it.

Great looking engine detailing iceman

Well, I just came inside from doing some more work on this baby. First and foremost the interior is starting to come together. White with red detail. Will flock the floor on this one...red I think. haven't done that in a while. the dash has the same pearl white look and worked on the hood. Everything is drying as you can see.



Now I need you all's help. Have a combination of wheels and tires. Thanks to Paul, once again, he provided the white walls for me. Here are some options. What do you guys think? Oh and I did rub out the body and laid a couple of clear coats on it. Not too bad. Not a winner but it'll do. Got some foil work to do.

I'm out! Lost interest after the botched paint job. I bit more than I could chew but learned a couple of things along the way.
