Im with everyone. Great subject and plenty of extra parts! Gasser was something that crossed my mind with one of my option but I'm not sure I have the skill for scratch building. Keeping an eye on this one for sure.

Update 7/9...I decided to remove the body chrome on this and what a job " WHEW " first off the body has a big indentation where the chrome strips go and since the chrome was already glued to the body with no hope of removing it I got the idea I could sand it off LOL after about two hours of Dremel work I am at this stage and now the fun begins , cutting the fenders off to make tilt front end...Fun...Fun...Fun Thanks for looking and all comments welcome More soon

I had the same trouble with the 57 i rebuilt, but i got the large wedge piece off ok, just broke all the thin trim bits. This will look nice and smooth with it filled in mate.

Sadly I have to say this one won't be done in time , it's been a pain in a lot of areas but the topper was when I was grinding the broken windshield pieces from the top got it to hot and really warped & melted it bad sooo... I'll finish it some day but for now it's back in the box

I hope you get to finish this model. With parts from multiple kits, you have a real advantage. Re: glued-on chrome trim, yeah, in lge. scale it can be a bear to grind off without lotsa work. Best o' luck now that the time pressure is off. We're all wondering on colors and engine detailing. It could be a real treat and worth the effort!
