This is what I intend to build. I'm thinking to go fenderless and v8 as the 4 pot is very poor and the 2 halfs dont line up. Probably going light blue metallic with whites accents

Struggling to get motivated on this. Everytime I pick it up (pun not intended) I find another sinkhole. Thought if I put the body together it might motivate me but the doors are too big for the opening, and one of the sinkholes is along the edge where the door hinge mounts to so will need some very careful work. The back edge of the area textured for the vinyl top has holes along the edge that look like it is 2 pieces badly lined up before glueing but it is only 1 piece. Most likely going to be all satin black now, and more of an aged look without going too ratty. Will post pics in the morning as I don't even want to look at it again today

I have no doubt this will be a beauty when you are finished with it.

Well my pics dont really show how bad the areas are. This is the back edge of the cab back. This is after a bit of sanding but there is a load more to be done. This is the section where the doors mount from the outside edge, notice the whole side is textured and the bottom edge has a bit missing at the hinge mount which is completely missing so the guides for mounting are gone. And here is the door shut edge on the back of the cab. If you look towards the top you can see the door has a twist towards the front. I haven't tried the other door yet to see if it's the same, but I have held a straight edge on the cab and door and both are straight so hopefully it will fit better. I'm probably more disappointed in this kit than any other I've bought. I've tried the door cards on and they don't sit flat due to a twist in them. The kit has some pretty nice parts and looks ok until you try fitting them together

Bugger mate, try hot water and twist it back, then put something heavy on it wwhile it cools.
