I got arrested for assault this morning while in town. I did it and the a*****es deserved it. The cctv will be my defence. You hit someone in a wheeelchair, I hit you harder and faster. The background to my arrest is that I went for a couple of pints in my favourite bar, and while I was there I noticed a couple of "beeps" picking/bullying on a friend of mine that is in a wheelchair and has been from illness as a child. my friend is well known locally for getting aggressive due to the damage to his brain and body from the illness, and these 2 "beeps" decided he was a good target for their twisted violence and nastiness. I got arrested after I took severe offence to how they were treating him. I fully admit I assaulted them both and I would happily do it again. As I said before, I hit harder and faster. I'm not worried about the consequences, I was in the right and these ***** know him being locals, so they deserve everything I did. I despise bullies and picking on someone that cant/wont defend themselves is just sick. The bar staff will be giving statements later today and luckily for me the cctv has sound. I have previous convictions but given the amount of evidence in my favour I dont think I have anything to worry about

Nothing wrong with defending a friend. I sure hope all works out in your favor, and the evidence will instead get the bullies who are the ones that should have been arrested!!

Wow man, that sucks that you get arrested for defending your friend. I hope the judge will see it that way. I can't believe people would do that to someone in a wheelchair. Just terrible.

Being in a wheelchair myself you would be a good friend to have around. I agree with you on the bully thing. I'm proud of you Stitch.

Stitch, You did the right thing.. You did what needed to be done. And those 2 BEEPS ,probably won't be picking on any more handicapped folks. And if they do , hopefully they will get their A$$E$ handed to them again...  Rick

Yes well done, having been bullied at school to the point of attempting suicide I too despise bullies, they got what they deserved I think in my case it was the last straw that broke the camels back, I saw the same bullies bullying my friend (the one who stopped me doing the stupid thing) and just saw red and beat the living daylights out of them, I don't know where it came from but it did and 2 of them needed hospital treatment afterwards, I wish I had done it sooner, I suddenly went from the guy they all picked on to being, or at least feeling like the most respected lad at scool. So you have my thanks too on your friends behalf, we all need friends like you.

The nick nick's have just left. I wont be prosecuted for sticking up for a disabled bloke. They did say that if it happens again I should call them and not take the law in to my own hands. I asked if they were telling me to spend 20 mins watching someone in a wheelchair getting battered. No answer. Lots more I could say but I'm happy with the result

Good job my friend. I will always fight to defend the underdog , the small , the weak and those that need protecting. This world is going to hell fast, and with out people who are willing to stand up for the defenseless we will all surly parish> Thanks again for standing up for your friend !

I am pleased you did not get charged mate, it would be a real joke on the law if you did.
But i don't like anyones chances of getting a cop to turn up until somebody gets hurt, that in its self is another joke..
