Hi all when I had mine I totally rebuilt it and whilst i was at it i stripped all the paint off the engine casings polished it and engraved it, so I thought I would do the same with this kit. being 1/8 of the original size it obviously wont be as elaborate but will give the general idea. roughly pened on this is the tool of choice oops didnt work too well I think my next attempt will be heated scribe .

Well I am totally peed off this was advertised as new and unstarted. Someone has gone ahead on the instructions and started the frame, only they've glued it all wrong (and used plenty of it) I've tried getting it apart but it's like it's welded together, and even if I get it apart I'm not sure I can reposition it where it should be, so this is another one that's on hold, funny its another Heller kit.

Hi all I have to apologise to the seller it was my 10 yr old nephew he came over during the day with his mum to visit my missus and decided to have a go. That's what you get for trying to encourage youngsters. He is now banned from my model room unless I am there.

Well I think it is sorted I told him he broke it he has to help me fix it yesterday we had a go at it, it's not pretty but since most of it is underneath the tank I don't think it will show (needs a lot of cleaning up but when he's not around ) will post pics of his help tomorrow.

Hi all well I'm going to get back on this, sorry been preoccupied finishing my La Reale build (its a French galley) I've given up with the idea of engraving the engine (can't find anything to do it how I like)so will be doing it as standard.

Was wondering where you'd got to Ken. Good to see you back. For the engraving would cutting it out of some sort of tape work? maybe high quality insulating tape or some sort of similar. I'm planning to try it on a pick up(going to cut up 2 mk1 golfs) tail gate for getting the letters to look raised so if it works for that it may work for engraved look too
