Hey everyone. I know summer's here and everyone tends to slow down a bit. Kids and grand-kids out of school. Some take vacation. Some enjoy the outdoors. Some just take a break. I was thinking of starting a new 3 month contest. If we start on July 1st we'll have until the end of September to finish it. I'm opening up this poll until the 28th to see what interest we get. Here are some ideas that we've had from the past that we can vote on. Beast and I will work on some rules for whatever we decide to do. Pick your favorite three. And if you don't have time to get into a contest in that time frame, just let us know. Not a problem.
Best of the Decade Contest - Tom, 60sera, winner from the last one would choose the decade (don't say anything just yet, bud).
Apocalyptic vehicle - Something for an apocalyptic world (think Mad Max)
Big Scale Contest - 1/12, 1/16, or 1/18 open build
Back to Basics - Completely factory stock. No swaps no custom work. All stock.
Aftermarket parts ok as long as they are stock
eBay Challenge III 2015 - I provide the kits. You only pay for shipping back and forth. I sell on eBay. Kit with the most bids win big prize package. If you don't finish, its a $30
penalty. All money goes to forum fund for more prizes. STILL invitation only
Race team build - Race car and a hauler. So technically two builds for the contest. Open racing style. You can haul a NASCAR racer, Dirt racer, Salts, racer, midget car, etc.
Anything you want (This is the idea you last build gave me, Dennis)
Same kit, Different style - Everyone builds the same kit in their own style.
Box Art - Pick a kit. Build just like on the box art.
Hot Wheels build - Pick a 1/64 car and replicate it in 1/24-25 scale
Any other ideas you have let me know and I can include them in the MOTM list for 2016.
