Okay guys, I'm working 12 hours days again, plus my step sons wedding on Memorial Day, then my wife has surgery scheduled on the 27th, so I may not be able to finish this! However I will give it my best shot! It'll be a box stock build, so maybe I can pull it off! prayer-hands-smiley-emoticon

okay here's an update. I painted the interior orange. When I went to apply the "houndstooth" decals they just crumbled! Since all the 69 pace cars came with the houndstooth interior, I can't finish until I find another set. I'll keep working on the rest of the kit and maybe I'll find a set....I'll keep you posted!

Okay, I have an update...Here are the progress pictures....Being a Mopar guy, I'm not really sure how to properly detail the underside of a Chevy. My best guess would be that since a Camaros subframes are bolted on I should paint them black, while the floor pan should have primer and body color overspray. Then a hefty application of undercoating around the wheel wells. Is this correct? smiley-confused005 I will NOT be offended by anyone sharing their research with me on this... Door panels are done, as well as the carpet and pedals... The engine is a little farther along than this, but didn't get a picture before left the bench tonight. I have another set of decals (thanks Paul) and I sprayed them with clear lacquer before attempting apply them. More updates soon!

Looking good here AK - you ever get new decals for your seats? [br yes, I triied a second set of decals that Paul send me. Before I used them I sprayed them with clear lacquer then waited 24 hours. They seemed to work a bit better, but I still managed to screw this set up also. Luckly I planned ahead so it wasn`t the same one I screwed up the first time, so I sprayed my original decals and waited another day. So now Im ready to combine these two sets to get one complete interior done and then realise that one set is darker than the other! It appears that the black dots that makeup the hounds tooth pattern are noticably larger one one set than the other so the two sets don't match! I have another set coming from GB and if these dont work Im going to change direction with this model!

I've seen a tip on one of the tuner model pages on facebook that might help. Its for carbon fibre but might works for the pattern on the seats. It was stretch nylons/tights over and spray a light coat of paint over it. The fb tip was black over grey but might work in this case. I haven't tried it myself so cant say how well it works but the carbon looked good in the pics

The chassis is almost finished. I still need to add touches such as the rear shocks, and maybe a little touch up here and there... Engine is also about done. I think I'm going to paint the alt. aluminum to tone down the shine... And yes, the body IS painted! Here it is in white primer. I think I'm going to put the decals directly on the primer then clear coat it.
