I'm not sure what category this is. I was going for hotrod but I think it's a rat rod and I know it's a truck. I lowered it and it will stay flat black with a web bed cover. I didn't want the hinged hood so I filled the firewall with styrene and putty. It had molded in exhaust(I hate that) so I cut and sanded it off. I tried to give it a pieced together aluminum look. I ruined my headlight bezels so I made some out of hubcaps and styrene I made a spider with the intention of cutting a hole in the roof and using the spider as the roof. This one would attach at the back window. Do you think that would be good or bad? I could always make a different spider.

This is looking great. This kit has some good pieces but some bad ones like that firewall you mentioned. I like how you covered up the holes though. I might try something like that for mine. Did you glue the doors shut as well? Those hinges are no good.
I like he spider web bed cover. I'm also not sure on the spider itself. Have you thought about using the spider as an air cleaner. Not sure what engine you're going with but the spider legs could go across the entire hood area. And if your opening the roof, the strider web cover would look better over the roof as well. My $.02.
Great job on cutting the cheesy exhaust out, too. Keep it coming.

Looks great - could personally do without the whole spider thing (HATE THOSE DAM THINGS)
But like DC and Ice - I agree the bed cover is pretty cool

Spiders aren't bad, now snakes they're the real problem!
I like Ice's idea of the air cleaner made out of the spider.

LOL - Nice one Ice!!
I guess I could go with a spider air cleaner, but the only problem I have with it is I can actually envision myself, opening the hood to change the oil, and freaking myself out if the air cleaner was a spider!!!
BUT - in all honesty cheaterslick - your ideas for spiders all around this build is a very cool idea!!!!!!!!!
Maybe some spider web decals for the headlights as well?
Wait - and maybe a spider web steering wheel?

I think I'll scrap the spider. I'll paint it up and put under my wife's pillow. I've got a different idea for the hood.

Murphy's law on this project so far. Having a lot of trouble trying to get the headlights to match. I did get the interior pretty close to done. Door panels and seat. The hood and the cab are close to done.

The hood and door trims are awesome mate, with the headlights, maybe bang all your filler in, and run a big drill bit through it, at least the holes will be the same size, of thats your issue mate.

Thanks, the whole thing has been a pain. This is the first time trying to customize some things. I'll be glad when I'm done with it. But I've learned a little along the way. Having a plan would have helped.
