Alright guys, so I know we have a few things going on already like the Torque wheel contest, bracket racing, and of course MOTM always. I'm interested to see how many people would be interested in a forum build. We could choose a kit and volunteer to do sections of it until we would have it complete. Now depending on the amount of people, we might be able to break off into teams, randomly selected and make it a competition. Of course this is just an idea so if you know how we can make it better or have feedback on this, let us know.
You would have to be willing to pay to ship your finished product to the team captain for final assembly. Since it would only be a few pieces it would only be a few bucks.
Again this is not something we would start immediately but just want to know the level of interest. Let me know on this thread if you'd be interested and I'll start a list.

Sounds interesting to me! So we would build a kit as a team with other people in the forum? Is that right or am I off?

That's the idea. Not sure of the details. If there is enough interest we might be able to have a couple of teams compete. We'll see how many people are interested. If there's not a big interest maybe a forum build for fun.

I like this Idea, would you be willing to go one farther? Pick a common model, something we can get cheap on ebay.Buy say 10 of them and then ask for 10 volunteers. Each would have to pay for their kit and the shipping and when they recieved it it would tell them what they have to do. Now heres the fun part 1 would be show room new, 2 would be daily driver , 3 would be 16 yr olds first car, 4 might be hot rod , jacked up with wide tires, 5 would be wrecked, 6 would be wip repaired, 7 would be drag car, 8 would be retired drag car, 9 would be wip restore and 10 would be full restored. Then when all are completed it would represent a time line of life for that car. Or people could pick which one they wanted to do. Just stick with the same color combo.

That's a great idea. Sounds like it would take some time and a bit pricey for some folks. Im sure some members would be willing though. But I like the idea. I'm going to add it to the list. "The life of a classic" or "Keeping it alive".
What else do you folks have in mind?

Hahaha every day? That's dedication. Thanks, man. Lets keep our ear to the ground and see what we hear. Still have to finish the Torque Wheel contest we have going on. I will definitely keep that in mind though.

That sucks, paperback. Looks like you'll be using a coupon after all. Lol
Knarf thanks for the ideas you sent me.
Folks if there are other ideas you have for contest, whether it be a 1 month thing or longer, send them over. We'll talk through it and add it to the list of upcoming contests.

I like that time line idea that Beast has. That could be neat and fun. I need to start writing down ideas I get through the day to share with you guys, because I forget half of them later. I think the problem is they get lost in all the voices in my head.

Honestly, I have enough on my plate, so I probably would not be able to participate.
