I have a friend here in Tasmania who buys a lot off these guys, apparently their son does not want to keep going with the trade, he says the same thing, Very high quality work.

Never bought anything from them, but for sure, hate to hear the bad news. Will keep them in thoughts and prayers.

If and when they come back on, Tom, I recommend you browse their stuff at the very least. They have a lot of resin parts too, from old annual kits. The kits themselves are the best resin I've worked with. Their tires alone are better than many. I placed an order a couple of weeks ago. I know this will prolong delivery, but the family needs time to heal and I'm willing to wait. It's all worth it.

I saw this on Model Cars Magazine a while ago and it's sad news indeed.
It's always very sad to see an aftermarket / resin company closing its doors, but this happening to ModelHaus is extremely sad. There are many companies that make speed parts, Blowers, carbs, intakes etc etc but there's only one ModelHaus making restoration parts for old promos / model kits. I'm very sad to see that those parts are not easy to get after a couple of years since I like building these old kits. Many of those old kits' subjects are quite obscure and the parts can't be found from new kits.
Oh well, I gotta make an order soon.

I got my package today. Sad about their son. Hopefully some wise investor will get their molds and continue the business.

I usually get my Modelhaus parts throu Bob and Polly Zetterman at the same price as Modelhaus. Bob comes to Phoenix for the winter from Colorado and sets up a booth at the shows, that's how I met him. If you need something from Modelhaus in a hurry for right now here is his e-mail addy : ZETCARS@MSN.COM and he will help you out with an order. I got one I'll be sending in later this month and they are like Don and Carol, very good people and easy to deal with.
