Stopped by to say hello. Have had many life events take over my way of life as of late. Managed to get everything in some form of order. With that being said its getting to be time to start building some of this unfinished Mopar Mania I have laying around here. I think for the short tem im going to focus on the truck models I have. Yes, they are all Dodge pickups. Finishing that SRT 8 Fleetside, the chop top fleetside, and the Pro Street little Red Express trucks are going to be the main focus. After they are done out will come the 78 Little Red Express, the 79 Little Red Express, the Warlock, two monster trucks, and i still want to build a stock 72 stepside with a slant six in it too. Im short the proper motors for the LREs as the kits are not small blocks so finding the slant six and a couple of 360s will be in store. I have all sorts of cars waiting and they will be waiting a bit longer as I will be on all trucks most likely all year. So if I bore the daylights out of you all with pictures of the trucks in the coming months you have been warned LOL! Anyhow, good to be back and looking forward to chatting with many of you I have not had any contact with. Santa Chas. These are the three I have to finish up on first just in case anyone did not see the start of these builds.

I've seen a little bit of your work! NICE to have yet one more Mopar guy around! the more the merrier! Right? I too have some trucks to build but, mine will most likely ALL be "stock" or somewheres there abouts as I am doing 2 that are a Father & Son build, I'm the "Son" in this one, as well as my Dads work truck if and when I locate a '79 cab, grille interior and hood....The rest is railroad related.....As a "Hi-Rail" truck...... Then you got all my other crazies.....LOL ALL Mopar tho! Welcome back!

Thanks guys, its good to be at least looming around the recent stuff I was on. I am trying to get stuff unboxed and sorted out so I can begin. I had some interesting stuff made for the chop top. I stripped the chrome off of a grille, cut out the area inside the grille ring, grafted in a late model Challenger grille and used a rear bumper for a rear roll pan and grafed in a portion of late model challenger tail lights into it and cant find the stuff yet. Should be getting to start up in a week or two. I have about a thousand builds in mind and im going to keep the burners set on low and work these three and forget the other stuff until I get these done.Ironic that my build time falls in with cruise nights and car shows. Guess im going to have to go 50/50?

Not a bad truck. Sadly, with trucks, I just CAN'T bring myself to lower and chop something that looks AWESOME as it was originally made, not bashing the build, just the truck ( I owned one) and have an even older one now.....) BOTH are Power Wagons and built high. stock I might add and would go absolutely, ANYWHERE..... Specially the current one! Anyway, whats ya plans for a motor? (Sorry Tom, YES I know a "plastic one"!) Anyway, any idea and or plans for paint? As being in bare plastic makes it difficult to see what your trying to achieve in looks and paint color goes along ways to make a build "grow" on ya, ya know? I'll be following along on the build! I too am working on a '78 Dodge right now as well.... popcorn-and-drink-smiley-emoticon

Hey Hemi, I guess you saw the 6.1 Hemi going in the truck. The paint will be two tone blue on top, white on the bottom, molded dechromed bumpers, smoothed tailgate, twin scooped hood, two tone interior, dual exhaust kind of like an AAR Cuda, and a few other crazy things for sure. Just for you one of my builds currently at 50% is a 78 Power wagon long bed. Thinking about adding a plow. I love Dodge trucks, had many. We are an all Mopar family, Wife gets a 08 Caravan, daughter gets an 02 Intrepid, I get a 97 Dakota and a 70 Dart Swinger. One of these days im going to build a model of my Dart. Right now I have to get some trucks out of my system. Next will be a Pro Street 78 Stepside that has a total fabbed up crazy one of a kind chassis I did awhile back. Its in the trucks area of the website, I think I labeled it a Pro Street LRT? Im not doing the LRT thinkg with it. I have two LRTs to build. One as a 78,the other as a 79, too. In addition there are a bunch of 'rollers' on the shelves too. Super stock and pro street Cudas, and many other Mopar cars. Ill be busy until I get old, WAIT. I am old now!! Guess I better get busy!!

Alls OK Chas! I have a pretty much all Mopar family too. NOT 100% correct but close.... My current family Me, Wife and daughter are sort of Mopar, as I have a '67 Dodge Power Wagon W-200, MI edition, Wife has an 04 Buick, and daughter LOVES the "Monster" (Go look at my real 1:1 posting) Even my Step-Son has a '02 Ram with a 5.7L Hemi in it..... BUT with my Dads side of the family, most of all of us has own a Mopar of some sort and still does. Exception to that was my Dads '39 Chevy business coupe which I own today, as Dad passed away just over a year ago.... NOW off to the model trucks...... LOL I thought to do a "Pro-Street" Little Red Express truck, BUT I'm having a terrible time getting a 3rd or even 4th kit of it, as I have 2 of them, that are being built currently as a "Father & Son" set, Dad had a '79 Dodge Adventurer 150 And I had a '78 Dodge Power Wagon W-100. At one time my Dad when I was really young, had a work truck that was also a '78 Power Wagon, that had a Reading "Utility bed" on it, that I'm trying to get a complete cab for to build..... As the utility bed, I think I'm going to scratch build! following along with yours here, I ought to post pictures of what I'm doing on mine then too!

yeah, post them and keep poting them. we need lots of Mopar trucks just flooding this site HAHAHA. I did not respond about your truck issue and im with you on Dodge truck being high up and big tires etc. This build was something that just happened. If you look at the first pictures it started out as a pretty ugly jacked up red and white truck. What I wanted was a truck nobody else had or was building. I may be doing one more as the chop top cab I made will have to get on a slammed chassis. Just dont know which way I am going with that one. I also have a 78 Ramcharger waiting. Its not a kit. I took the roof and back of the cab off of my old LRT, fitted a fleetside bed and just created what AMT or MPC ( dont like the Revell one) didnt make. Going to cut down a chassis and put it all together at some point. What I have to do is find a Revell body, cut off the roof and make it fit on my Ramcahrger so it will have a functioning removable top as it does not have one now. But thats several trucks away from being built. Its going to be all trucks this year. Once I get the bug out of me that first car on the build list is a Johan 71 Cuda converted to a 70 and sits as a Pro Street Hemi Cuda. I cant wait to finish that one up after the trucks. By the way, did I see you were making resin motors or was that someone else? I want a performance slant six for a special build I have planned!!

Chas, Good to hear on the trucks, I've ALWAYS been a fan of the Dodge LRE trucks HELL I even got a new "staple" truck now being the A100...Thats the Little Red Wagon..... Thats a whole other story. LOL As for the actual late '70's pick up models, I haven't even gotten pictures of them yet.... BUT I will! Have ya noticed tho with the Little Red Express Dodge pick up's that the engine they give with the kit is to be a 360 V-8 Police Interceptor? BUT if you look closely at the engine its not even close! Its more of a half breed, between the 360, and a 440. BOTH of those engines looked NOTHING alike in any way! BUT, thats what the kits come with! a model pet-peave of mine..... Models to be one thing, and don't have ANYTHING to say they are..... At least if its to be a model, I THOUGHT it was to represent a specific item or thing!? As for your questions why yes, that is me making the molded Resin parts, PM me on what your lookingfor, I'll be able to help ya out on stuff!

The motor in the LRE is a 383/440 bastard for sure. Im going to be looking for two 360s for the 78/79 LRE twins I will be building. I have a Little Red Wagon build in my future too but mine will be representing the last of the breed. I want mine with much bigger tires in back, center seating, fully blown Hemi instead of the injected motor. I am studying film on the last wagons for reference. I will PM you about the motors.

Love the Dodge trucks. They seem to be pricey and hard to come by now. But they sure are cool. I'd like to have a Power Wagon. I remember the show Simon & Simon from when I was a kid, he drove one. I was in love with that truck. Some sweet trucks you've got there.

Thanks Cheaterslick. I have a bunch not even started yet. I have a Fire Fighter, Warlock, several LREs, a PowerWagon, and a couple of monster trucks too. Im focusing on the Slammed truck I am doing now, the Power Wagon, and the Pro Street trucks. As soon as they are done im finishing a converted Jo-Han 71 Cuda made into a 70 and set up as a pro street. Sublime paint, hockey stick stripes, 426 Hemi and a go-wing and a resin six pack hood will round out that car. I have 4 boxes of Mopar models and its time to build some of them. This is first on the car builds. I cant wait to work on this one! By the way, I have seen lots of resin Pro Street chassis and backhalfs that have been tooled and are for sale. I have done my cars bashing chassis and making Pro Streets out of them the hard way. Its just more fun!!

Chas, Sadly the 383 and the 440 were pretty damn close the same looking! ONLY difference is in the 383, you could have gotten it as a "B" Mopar Big Block or an "RB" Mopar Big Block, the difference? The deck height. This "feature" was only done in 1959 to 1960. The REST of the years a "383" was offered was a Mopar "B" Big Block..... I know one! Mine is in a '67 Power Wagon W-200.... The engine with the LRE kit tho, states the truck was sold with a 360 Mopar in it, being a LA small block, with that said, there is a lot of bastardizing of the engine in the kit. You look for the distributor on the kits engine, its on an angle, in the front, (THAT signafies Mopar big block) NOT Small block! The Mopar Big Blocks wether the "B" or "RB" versions ALL had that angled distributor cap. The small blocks "LA" types 273, 318, 340, and the 360, ALL had the distributor caps in the back of the block! I've worked on several of these and owned a few over the years! Your looking for matching LA small block 360's? Send me a PM, I have resin molded ones. with a variety of set up's to go with them! I've set out to model a few A100's I have yet to get one and let it be as I too want to do one of EACH of the Little Red Wagon's one of each of its eras.... As I have actually talked with Bill Golden in person on this through a website He & I are members on.... NICE guy will help you with any questions you name it...... Let em know on the motors, I have ALL sorts to choose from for any "Mopar" builds you may want to do!

Mine, however will be a "stock" '71 Cuda...... I'm gonna save that dual plug 426 Hemi for a Pro-Street '70 Super Bee! evil6

So, I gained a bit of real estate today. Been cleaning up the dungeon and found my work bench. A bit of moving this and that around and after a decade plus of storage stuff from the kids, grandkids, sister in law, and my son and his wife being eliminated I now have a place to work on my models. Its small but big enough to work on models at and its a place far away from everyone so I now have a place to sneak to when I need some peace and quiet.!
