A bit over a week on this one, the Monogram kit is so good, there was very little extra i needed to do. Opened up the trunk and made a fuel tank, lowered it a tad, and changed out the wheels and tyres, added a bird catcher injection scoop, made a distributor, plumbed the A/C, and remote oil filters, fuel line alternator and battery lead. Paint is Automotive Acrylic, i call Sunburnt Bronze, with a few coats of Clear, and a good polish. AND IN THE SUNLIGHT.

Dale, you do realize I get serious inspiration from some that you build! This one for instance.....I look at yours, imagine what I want to do with mine, and then think, "you know, John, I might add TUBE to mine, bumpers and running tubes in place of the running boards between the fenders........ but, we'll see......
Thats the kinda thoughts at times I see and have seen done and if done right, it really doesn't look bad.....I do however choose to go and do the tube work, it will be ALL polished aluminum tubing...NO paint, besides clear coat to seal the shine!

Dale, As you know. I do alright on the engine builds that are going into any one model I'm building. I just have to see whats all involved on the bodies and get some inspiration else where at times to look and see what others has done to see what something like that can spark, (if that makes any sense) in my own head, to have a thought on what I might do or not do on any one given model's body. For instance, you added that chrome BMF to the body line, to look as a chrome strip. I have to be bluntly honest here, I'da NEVER thought about doing that BUT, it looks AWESOME!!!!! Granted, that same body line you put the BMF on? Believe it or not, thats really just a roll in the sheet metal of the body! BUT they do however make chrome "trim" strips that goes over these as an after market part as part of a custom trim package. Its things like that, that inspire me to do things on my model bodies......Ya gotta remember, I am a true "stocker" so...... I do get out of that little box every now and again.....
