Thanks for the invite

Hi, my name is Roger, I'm a 63 yr old UPS retiree from southwestern IN. I like all kinds of models but especially autos. I have been modeling off and on since age 9 (mostly off) but recently returned about 2 yrs ago. Two yrs ago this coming July my sons bro-n -law was killed in a single car accident and left his parents with the burden of funeral expenses. Friends and family joined together to have a benefit dinner and silent auction. Wanting to participate I decided to build a model for the auction with the notion that this would add a little personal touch to the donation. I dug out a Quaker state Steve Kinser kit to build (ironically green was Zacks favorite color). I currently have finished 12 models since and have 6 or so in various stages of completion. Don't get to model as often as I'd like as I work 3 days a wk  and other little life interferrences keep me away from the bench. Another problem is I don't have a dedicated place to paint so I have to rely on good weather to paint outside, my wife graciously gave up some kitchen space where I could put my small work bench. I consider myself at best a 20 ft. modeler (looks good from 20 ft away ) but never the less enjoy the satisfaction I get when I finally do complete a model. I really enjoy forums such as these as they often provide inspiration and provide some great eye candy as well .
