It has got me buggered how they can so easily lose a ship this big, passenger jets disappear, yet they can pin point your lost mobile phone.

The sea's have been really big around here and the pentland firth is where the north sea and the atlantic meet. Normal tide rush is 15 knots but much higher this time of year

It had a cargo of cement still in the dust form. No sign of the crew but from the lack of an mayday it must have happened really fast and their still inside. Horrible for the families of the poor souls but at least if they're still on it they have closure. They have been out all day looking again today, and were joined by a lot of boats, and the planes headed south have all been diverting to look as well. Also the pentland firth has a lot of radar watching it as there's a nuclear power station, oil terminal and its notoriously bad to navigate. 5 lifeboats for 30 miles when usually its 1 for 80-120 miles

The weathers still too bad for that. I think the plan is to tow the boat into a sheltered area and beach it first

The ship has now completely sunk below the waves with no trace of the crew found. Its right in the shipping lanes too so salvage is now being investigated to keep the lanes clear.
