My name's Eric and I'm just getting back into modeling after a few not-so-serious attempts over the years. After working on all of my full size cars over the years, I've finally come to realize that customizing scale models is a helluva lot cheaper. I'm just about finished with my 1:1 1971 Mach 1 after 4.5 years of restoration (which it hould've gone to the scrap yard, actually).
Thanks for having me, and I look forward to learning all the tips and tricks you guys have up your sleeves, as well as hopefully have some cool builds to show off.

Welcome Eric. Glad to see you made the jump. I'm in El Paso so probably not too far. We're here to help. Find the voting polls that are currently running and pick your favorites. When you have some time let us know what you're working on. Maybe post some of your projects.

Welcome Eric. I feel your pain brother. I finally got back into model building for some of the same reasons you stated, cheaper than real ones and easier to store and show them when I have more than one.
Settle in and meet some new friends and show us what you have been building. Get into the contests that are always going on here too.
