Hello all my name is Gary,I'm 37, I'm married with 4 kids (15,12,7,4). I was born and raised in a small town in Arizona. About 5 yrs ago we moved to Casper Wyoming. started building models when I was about 10,mainly ww2 fighters and bombers with some modern aircraft thrown in from time to time. Quit building around 16yrs old. Then 4 yrs ago decided to get back into it. Now I build 4 wheel drives. I can't leave anything stock (plastic or real) so everything gets modified. Still working on my scratch building as I've never done it before so I'm constantly learning. I hope to learn a lot from all the great builders here, and hope to be able to share what I've learned. Sorry for such a long post.....you should a seen how much I deleted already....I had a novel....lol. thank you for allowing me to be apart of such a great site.

Thanks for the welcome. I appreciate it. I'm glad to know that everyone here is willing to help. In the past I've been on forums where it seems there is more belittling then anything else. As soon as I get a chance I'll get some pics posted.

Is there anyone here that's into building offroad trucks/crawlers? Looking for advice on building a working suspension. Any advice/help/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time

Welcome WickedWelder, friendly place here. For working suspension you might be able to adapt some parts from small rc kits. I've seen a few about the riight size or Tamiya did a Jeep cherokee in the late 90's with working suspension in 1/24 scale. This kit I built years ago but have since broken up;- www.scalemates.com/products/product.php?id=128876

Welcome Gary. Poke around, meet some folks, and ask any questions. Everyone here is willing to help if they can. For 4x4 suspension you might want to check out some of the stuff "knarf" and "gardenerpag44" have done.
