That Camaro is looking great mate, i like the updated color, it looks nice and deep. As for the Distributor, it looks like a professional built it, good work buddy. two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon As for those drill bits, beautiful.....

Well, this afternoon was a slow rainy Easter day. After a nap with Shadow........
This is Shadow
I did a little work on the interior, not much, just a little...
Door panels and seats done and drying
Also detailed the dash, ALL hand painted. Picture is not the best, but you get the picture, get it, you get the picture?? HA - I crack myself up sometimes...

Forgot to post what I came here to post in the first place, good grief..... Anyways, look at what I may attempt this week for the interior - and yes, don't worry, I will fix up those speakers somehow, freehand painting only lasts so long, LOL
ITSY BITSY SEAT BELTS!!!!!! AM I NUTS?? You know it!!!

Finally, after another killer week, got some bench time. Dash is together and clear coated, not the best picture, but I will get the interior together tomorrow and get some nicer pics
Interior door panels and seats installed. Decided to pass on the seat belt thingy, want to get this build and the Nova done and out of the way so I can start up something new. Also put the lower front lip spoiler on, will be getting decals and clear coat tomorrow on body - again, will get up some better pics
Worked some more on the engine, got most of it done and tomorrow planning to get this buttoned up. Found my graphite tape and think I can make some plug boots with this, the boot wire that came with the plug wires and distributor was not hollow - grrrrrr....
Better pics next time, and some serious progress coming - love bench time, need more of it!!!

yes sir Dennis - ole Shadow is a spoiled one, great dog though I must admit!!
On to the Camaro - after about I was to kill the Nova build, I stepped back, went and had a 30 or 40 minute Bowflex work out, showered, and am making some good progress. Thanks to Paul for the awesome surprise!!! As you can see, most certainly doubling up on the white stripe decals is in order for this dark green build. First picture kind of shows the difference between first stripe, and the second. I have had to do this for other cars, (mostly the police die cast cars I have made), but they were a little easier. Matching up these up takes some patience for sure - but they are looking pretty good. Not perfectly centered, but close I guess.

Thanks Stitch, appreciate it, I gotta admit, this green, and metallic green top coat are pretty cool. Decals were a PITA, but they came out pretty good I think Should have this sucker done and displaying soon - I sure hope!!
This week and tonight, got some more progress.... Wheels put together, visors painted, front suspension in an done, even got the hood pins on the hood down. Also flocked the headliner, letting this dry over night and got the engine done, ready for touch up and installation
Sorry about the pics, just cannot figure out this Galaxy Tab!! It makes for uploading to photobucket such a breeze, but pics are starting to pic-me-off!!
LOL - I will for sure use the good camera for final photos though

Engine slipped in before we headed out this morning for Cars - N - Coffee!!!
Got home, put the Bumble in for a nap, then mowed the yard. Sat down and got some more small things wrapped up:
Of course, something had to go wrong, broke the spoiler clean in half! Was on the carpet, did not see it until I felt it, UGH! But glued her back together, and have the underside sprayed and drying...
Finished the engine install, forward fan shroud, and radiator hoses....
I thought to myself, "Self - what about an interior dome light?" So I dug through a few junk kits, found a couple of headlights, and pulled one that looked about right. Painted the edge chrome silver, and the underside white, so as to give the appearance of a clear cover, installed on the flocked interior roof. TADA!

Man Ice, that WOULD be really cool - I have looked into lighting up models, one of these days I will get the kit to do just that!!
BUT, for now, a few progress pics, getting to the point its gonna be a BMF Sunday I believe!!
Walked in, and seen I left it as such to hold the exhaust to the headers. Kind of a normal, CC way of making things stay where there are supposed while setting up! LOL
But hey, it kept it put for overnight. Detailed the firewall a little, will put on the few pieces tonight before volleyball if I can, (master cylinder, etc). Got the rear end, leaf springs, drive shaft and shocks in. Touched everything up for now. Also, FINALLY, after painting, sanding, painting, sanding, painting again, and again, looks like the spoiler may almost be ready, (not bad I think for stepping on and breaking the dam thing!) Another light sanding and a coat or two and this should be ready.

Down to itsy bitsy stuff - once the Nova is off the bench, I am hoping to get after the BMF Saturday / Sunday. Just a couple shots of the wheels installed, engine bay done, firewall is finished as well

Made some progress tonight - been awhile since I did any BMF, but I am trying. Attacked the front windshield - 2 hours later..... I could not believe what happened, all I can figure is the BMF I have is older or something, the glue backing is really tough to get off! Plus, it actually pulled off a spot of my stripe!!! BUT - what are the odds I had some Havana Matte, (an off white testors paint). I think once the polishing happens, it just may cover it well enough At least it's good enough for the girls I go with!!! LOL

Well, after an EXTREMELY nerve racking night last night - tried to do a little relaxing and got some more BMF done on the Camaro. Definitely need more practice, but I will not give up until I get her done. I hope with a little touch up and polishing, it will help.... And I dont know if its old or what, BUT I am not into this particular brand of foil. Gonna finish this car with it, but the next one, (the Coronet), I am going to use athe other brand I have. This stuff leaves alot of like sticky residue / almost like an old tape at times. Kind of a booger to get off carefully with a toothpick

Looking good Tom nice job , I have never used that brand ( always use Bare Metal Foil myself ) but once I did have a problem wit sticky residue but was really old foil . another tip after you get done with the q-tip I use a new wooden tooth pick and gently rub the end across the part I foiled with light pressure and will mostly take out the wrinkles you get some times , just a idea if you wanna try
