Okay so I'm just kind of curious, where else or how else do y'all get models besides places like eBay and hobby lobby ? Do y'all post ads on craigslist or anything if so please let me know!

I've found a few kits on Craigslist, but have also set upt ads saying I buy them. Have scored some pretty good deals both ways. Posting what youre looking for here in the right section sometimes gets you great trades as well.

I have a Hobby Lobby, but no real Hobby Store. The last one closed about two years ago. So for kits I turn to e bay and my Buddy Iceman. For detail parts I shop ebay or go direct to the company ( most now have web sites ). One thing I do when I know I will be traveling, for example I am going to Florida for seven days starting July 26. I will go to craigslist for that area ( I started Monday the first ) and I start putting as many ads as they will let me ( wanted, collectables, toys and games ) and I ask for any unwanted plastic, built or unbuilt, broken, missing pieces, glue bombs, junkyards, single kits or collections. I tell them I will be in their are for 7 days from xx to xx and i will have cash. I always get something. My last trip to Hawaii I scored big time, buying about thirty unbuilt or half built kits from an older fellow that just didnt have the time he said. Got them all for $50, it was just getting them all home that was tough.

Wow thanks for all the great information I think I might post something on craigslist, the only problem I have with craigslist is the last time I went to the seller he was high on something and I lost all my money to him or else I would have gotten shot ... But I could meet them at the police station by my house to meet up with them.

yeah you have to be careful on craigslist. I usually trade a few emails first and maybe meet at a public place. kind of get a feel for them. After all, they are complete strangers.

Oh yes, after several emails with pictures. We agree on a price and then the meeting is always public and I never go alone.

So i posted an ad on craigslist and within 10 minutes.... a guy copied MY AD and posted it but deleted my name off of it and added in 1 sentence! People can be such pricks some times!
