A little out of my comfort zone for me on this one, however very excited for it. One of my buyers on eBay has asked me to build him this kit. He's bought a few built kits from me in the past and a is a proud owner of one two of the eBay challenge kits. He wants it the way it is on the box except with a little more detail. I'm going to give it a shot. I figured since there is not any body work other than the usual prep, I should be ok. Will be detailing the engine a little bit as well as the interior because of the opening doors. Wish me luck guys....

I got that kit on the discount shelf at HL and I like it. Personally I think the decals with it are nice. I have no doubt your customer will be very pleased with your work.

Thanks, Dennis. You know I looked for it and I didn't find it there so I had to order. No biggie. I'm going to go back this week. It crossed my mind to build one for me as well at the same time. Maybe just a different color. I am a bit nervous since this is actually my very first commissioned build. Let's see how it all goes.

You can handle it just fine. Your skills are at just the right place for this. Take it slow and think things out and you will do a good build the man will be proud of.

This is a great gasser model to build! I built this one about a year ago and like Dennis said the kit decals gives the model a cool 60s look.
Good luck with the build Ice!

Oh you guys are great. Thanks for the motivation.
I just laid the first coat of primer on the smaller parts. Going to work on sanding the flash off the bigger parts and get those into the paint booth as well.

I have no doubt you can pull this off Joel! You are a great builder and do the detailing well. I see no problems for you to get this done and the customer to be thrilled with displaying it!

WHOA!!!!!!!!
NICE work Joel! THAT is looking AWESOME man!
The engine, your on a roll man! THAT engine has a story behind it, (I THINK) does it say ANYWHERE in the instructions on "WHAT" it might be?
I think you my friend have yourself yet ANOTHER "Hemi"!!!! That engine looks like a SOHC 427 Ford. Which is just that.... a Hemi....Was Fords answer for the 426 Hemi from Mopar! from back in the 60's!
The valve covers and location of the plugs give it away!
The valve covers themself, look to be "custom" or aftermarket versions......
NICE, and I thought I was the "HEMI" fanatic here!

Iceman that is a sweet paint job, but I have to say, I think the flocking work is the smoothest I have ever seen on a model.
