Update 12/19 Well finally got some thing done on this but first the story In the late summer of 1963 Steve's 58 Chevy got stolen from his drive way a few hours later the Police got a hold of Steve to report they found his car but it had been involved in a accident and towed to the impound lot . After looking at his Chevy Steve decided it was to bad to keep so he let the Insurance come pick it up and they paid him for the Chevy ( if you seen American Graffiti the second movie Steve was driving a 1960 Pontiac ) so after setting at the Ins. impound lot for several months an employee ( name of Fred ) decided to buy the Chevy from the Ins. company and fix it up . After sitting for a year or so with the windows down the interior was pretty bad shape so Fred decide to change it as well as replace the front sheet metal from local parts yards ( he did keep the red & white colored interior though ) . Fred drove the Chevy for a few years but the engine was getting pretty sad then in 1969 it got wrecked again so he parked it . Then in 1971 his son wanted a car so Fred gave him the Chevy but the engine had locked up and still needed a drivers fender and door so time to fix it up again ! and that's where will start the rebuild Here's the work I've done so far...removed the chrome trim from the drivers fender & door as well as the rocker panel trim ( to replace the front fenders ) Got chassis built just stock and some weathering to give it the driven look more coming soon
